What makes Milwaukee famous: deep fried beer and sex

Tuesday, 25 Nov, 2010 0

You expect beer in Milwaukee but the city in Wisconsin these days is also promoting itself as…be prepared…sexy.

Promoters are citing this piece of evidence: the Milwaukee Art Museum’s Quadracci Pavilion beat out the Sydney Opera House to be named the world’s sexiest building by virtualtourist.com.

“More than 300 pieces of self-taught outsider art has found its way to the Milwaukee Art Museum.

The Museum plans to mount a rotating selection of the drawings, paintings and sculptures, which are in delicate condition and can only be shown for limited periods of time,” according to a press release.

But the city also offers “deep fried beer” at the Miller Time Pub.

“It was just a matter of time before someone figured out how to drink and eat beer at the same time,” said the city’s Web site.
