Hotels in Lake Tahoe are gearing up for a busy 2025–2026 season and showcasing a wave of transformative renovations, dining experiences and new guest activities.
With multimillion-dollar enhancements, new luxury brands launching and expanded guided experiences, Lake Tahoe is poised for an unforgettable year ahead.
Caesars Republic completes $160 million reimagination
Following a wide-ranging $160 million renovation, Caesars Republic debuts a refreshed mountain-modern identity in the 740 guest rooms and dining options. A new hotel tower is designed to frame surrounding alpine views, there is a refreshed casino floor and lobby, and an expanded Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen as well as the newly opened Wolf by Vanderpump.
Golden Nugget accelerates multi-phase remodel
The Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe continues its property-wide revitalization. In June 2025, the resort completed the full remodel of all guest rooms in the Sunset Tower, introducing modern upgraded amenities. Renovations continue on the Heavenly Tower, projected for completion in 2026 with the casino floor and lobby undergoing major redesigns. Opening January 2026, the Maestro Steakhouse will bring a premier dining experience to the property.
Gurney’s Lake Tahoe Resort & Spa begins full transformation
Gurney’s Resorts—known for its flagship Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa in New York—has officially acquired Tahoe Beach Retreat and will begin a comprehensive renovation in November 2025. It will feature: 206 redesigned rooms, all-new dining concepts, a state-of-the-art spa, an elevated beachfront experience with a upgraded private pier.
New activity: Godfather Crime Tours
Lake Tahoe’s cinematic and cultural history comes to life with the launch of the Godfather Crime Tours, an immersive experience blends Hollywood storytelling with real Tahoe. It will explore: Lake Tahoe’s unique geology and cultural history, the mob legacy that shaped the region’s early gaming industry and the iconic filming locations of The Godfather Part II, including Emerald Bay and historic west-shore sites
