When it comes to good travel deals, Tuesday is the best
The best day to get deals? Easy. Tuesday.
So proclaims the marketing department of CheapTickets.com, owned by Travelport.
They are calling it the “Day of Deals.â€
The site says Tuesday visitors will find a “refreshed resource of valuable information at their fingertips.†Two of CheapTickets’ key deal-focused tabs — Cheap of the Week and Last Minute Travel — have been reinvented to help consumers find the best deals available, according to the company.
In addition, a new online video component has been integrated, offering visitors tips for both finding the best deals on CheapTickets and planning the best trip on a budget.
Subscribers too many big travel Web site deal newsletters often receive them on Wednesday.
“But are all of these much-hyped vacation specials true ‘deals,’ or are they the cream of the sponsored-content crop? Unlike on pure journalism websites, what’s not always 100% transparent on the sites mentioned is which are paid placements and which are genuine, unbiased editors picks?†says the LA Times.
CheapTickets own editorial policy:
“While CheapTickets may be affiliated with a particular property mentioned herein, the views expressed herein are the blogger’s alone, and do not necessarily reflect the views of CheapTickets.â€
