Where Croissants Are as Flaky as They Come – and No One Minds!
Wherever you are, a visit to Miami’s The French Bakery is worth the ride to this stretch of Kane Concourse in Bay Harbor Islands, west of Bal Harbor Shops.
Close your eyes and you could be in France.
The French Bakery is more than just a convenient stop for great espresso or cappuccino and a flaky freshly baked croissant or pain au chocolat. It also offers light meals comprising quiches, salads, baguette sandwiches and homey entrees. Sip a great glass of wine or if you prefer champagne either inside this bistro or al fresco on the sidewalk. And don’t forget to add crème brulée to your order, or one of the traditional pastries.
The French Bakery was born in 1999. Chef Maria Frumkin a Parisian-trained Argentine who regularly returns to France for inspiration, bakes everything herself on the premises, including wedding and other special occasions cakes.
The Bakery won the “Award of Excellence” by Wine Spectator Magazine for outstanding wine selection in 2002.
