Windstar Cruises opens summer 2027 Japan and Alaska programme
Windstar Cruises has opened summer 2027 sailings of its newest all-suite yacht, Star Seeker.
The 224-guest small-ship yacht will sail Japan cruises as well as itineraries in Alaska.
The programme also features a brand-new Mystery Cruise and an exclusive Destination Discovery Event.
“Star Seeker was purpose-built for destinations like Alaska and Japan,” said Stijn Creupelandt, COO of Windstar Cruises. “
“She’s small enough to reach tucked-away harbours and narrow passageways and personal enough that every guest feels connected.”
In Japan, guests sail from iconic ports like Tokyo, Hiroshima and Kyoto to smaller harbours such as Karatsu and Takamatsu.
An exclusive destination discovery event takes place in Tomonoura, where guests explore Edo-period streets with exclusive access to cultural treasures like live koto music, samurai sword performances, and tea ceremonies.
A Windstar Mystery Cruise departs Hokkaido to Osaka, with each port revealed only days in advance.
Featuring new-to-Windstar South Korean ports, the Mystery Cruise pairs seamlessly with Grand Japan for a 21-day voyage.
Star Seeker also explores the Alaska glaciers in Kenai Fjords, Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm, and the granite cliffs in Misty Fjords.
Signature expeditions allow for kayaking alongside icebergs or cruising by Zodiac.
There are also optional cruise tours pairing Alaska’s coastline with inland journeys to Denali National Park.
Star Seeker is set to be delivered in December 2025.
Summer 2027 voyages in Alaska and Japan are open to book now.
