Wingman’s bizarre antics delays flight at Las Vegas
Las Vegas police arrested a man who climbed on the wing of a passenger jet at McCarran International Airport, delaying a departing Alaska Airlines flight for several hours.
The man scaled a perimeter fence before climbing on the wing of the aircraft where his strange antics were caught on camera by bemused passengers.
After some time surrounded by law enforcement trying to coax him down, he climbed the winglet and then fell to the tarmac.
The unnamed man was detained and taken to a facility to receive medical attention.
"Law enforcement was dispatched and able to apprehend the individual," the airline said. "Our guests and employees are safe and we are working with law enforcement. The plane returned to the gate for a full inspection".
The flight scheduled for Portland, OR was delayed about four hours.
