WIT and Wisdom in Travel
SINGAPORE -Aspiring entrepreneurs will have a chance to have their ideas heard and evaluated by a panel of investor judges as part of WIT-Web In Travel 2008, taking place in Singapore on October 21-22.
WIT in association with PhoCusWright Inc is seeking out the best business ideas in the online travel space as part of “The Start-Up Pitch†that it is organising in this year’s programme.
Entrepreneurs are being encouraged to send their ideas by July 31 to be evaluated by a panel of investors and three finalists will be chosen to present their ideas in five minutes each to the judges during the conference.
The panel of judges will be chaired by Bill Liu, chairman of Stream Global, a business advisory and management consultancy firm focusing on Infocomm Technology SMEs in the Asia Pacific Region.
Conference delegates will also get a chance to pose questions of the finalists, after which they will vote for the winning idea via SMS.
The winner will receive a Professional Development Program (PDP) voucher from the(CNI) worth US$2,500 (valid for 2009) as well as the opportunity to take their winning idea to the next level with the investor judges.

Submissions must follow the following template and be kept within a maximum of two A4 pages.
1. Executive summary 

2. Description of the business, core/products/services

3. Key customers and users

4. Business & revenue model, strategy for profitability

5. Market & opportunity analysis

6. Competitive analysis – why is it better than what exists today, how is it unique?

7. Finally, Three reasons why they should invest in your idea
