Wizz Air simplifies process for flight changes
Wizz Air has implemented a new simplified process for flight changes.
It means passengers can change the date or the routing of their flight by paying a fee of 50% of the fare they paid for their original ticket, plus any difference in fares and baggage fees between the original and the new flight.
The minimum fee is €10 and the maximum is €60.
Until now, passengers who wanted to change the date or routing had to pay a fixed fee depending on the time left until the flight – over 30 days, between 30 and 7 days and less than 7 days until departure – plus the price difference, if any, between the old and the new ticket.
As before, passengers can avoid the change fee altogether by selecting the Plus Fare when doing their original booking or by purchasing the WIZZ Flex service for €10 per flight as an extra to the Basic Fare.
Both the Plus Fare and Wizz Flex allow an unlimited amount of flight changes.
"While many economy products don’t allow flight changes, Wizz Air’s low fares are flexible and bookings can be adapted if the travel needs of our customers change," said Wizz Air spokesman Daniel de Carvalho.
