World Bank / ODI collaborate in pro-poor tourism
In a joint effort with the UK-Based Overseas development Institute, the World Bank is now researching new methods of understanding the potential beneficial impacts of tourism on the poor (Travelmole 1 November https://www.travelmole.com/stories/1113761.php ). It is understood that there is currently no adequate methodology of measuring local tourism impacts on the poorand the World Bank/ODI effort is specifically concentrated on rectifying this.
