World Rowing titles for South Korea
The South Korean city of Chungju will host the World Rowing Championships from August 25 to September 1 at the International Tangeum Lake Regatta Course, 10 minutes from the city of Chungju.
During the championships, various cultural events and performances, exhibitions and fireworks will take place in and around the regatta venue and Chungju city.
There will be an opening ceremony with martial arts performances at the Chungju World Martial Arts Park.
Chungju is known as a green city in Korea.
The area includes spectacular mountain scenery in the national parks, Buddhist mountain temples and hot springs.
Visitors can enjoy an overnight temple stay and experience life as a Buddhist monk.
