Worldchoice plan set to double
Worldchoice is likely to double the number of agents selling overseas properties following a strong response from members.
The consortium initially said it would train only 50 ‘Elite Agents’ to sell apartments and houses abroad but such has been the demand, up to 100 are now expected to come on board.
An official launch of the scheme will take place on September 1.
“We’ve had at least 70 agents who are desperate to start selling property so we are planning to increase the number we train, possibly 100,” said Worldchoice chairman Colin Heal. “Agents have recognised this is another revenue stream.”
Worldchoice join Thomson in moving into the estate agency arena. Members will act as a referral service to interested customers and receive commission once contracts have been exchanged.
Apartments and properties in Spain, France, Portugal, Florida, Cyprus, Bulgaria and the Caribbean will be available.
