Worldia enters UK market
Connected trip solution specialist Worldia is set to enter the UK market.
A leading player in France for the past ten years, Worldia is expanding to new markets.
It follows a Series B fundraising of £22m.
To lead Worldia’s launch and development in the UK, it has appointed Dave Pope, who brings over 30 years of travel industry experience in tour operator and travel agency positions.
He was most recently Head of Sales and Training for four years at Not Just Travel.
After roles at Travelbag and Airtours, Pope developed his own industry consultancy and for over 17 years he collaborated with major brands.
These ranged from Abercrombie & Kent, Love Holidays, and Fred Olsen, as well as non-travel projects with HSBC and Microsoft.
“I am delighted and excited to spearhead the launch into the UK market,” Pope says.
“I can’t wait to show how our technology, travel products and services, will enable travel distributors to create unique bespoke travel experiences.”
Worldia enables distributors and suppliers to customise traveller experiences.
Worldia’s B2B2C white-label platform allows people to build, plan, and book trips in more than 80 destinations worldwide.
