Worldspan recruits three new execs
Worldspan has recruited three new executives including an ex-British Airways executive and ex- account manager for Galileo.
In a bid to boost business in the EMEA and Asia regions, Worldspan has recruited Martin Tyler-Bennett as director of product solutions. He will head product development, including adapting US solutions for the EMEAA market, such as the Total Rates solution that allows agents access to no-frills fares. Mr Tyler-Bennett was once vice president of worldwide airline strategy and product soltuions at BA, and more recently worked for Peppers and Rogers Consulting Practice.
The second appointment is of ex-Galileo International account manager, Bernie O-Brien. He has been made business partner manager for EMEA, and will be in charge of developing relationships with third party organisations.
The third new recruit is Peter Dennis, who has been appointed head of corporate sales. He will oversee the marketing and sales strategies for the corporate sales team. He is expected to be central to the corporate travel intiative launching this year, the details of which will be announced at this week’s Business Travel Show being held at Kensington Olympia in London.
