Wreckage of EgyptAir flight found

Egyptian investigators say they have found wreckage of the EgyptAir flight that went missing last month.

Flight MS804, on its way from Paris to Cairo, went missing over the Mediterranean with 66 people on board.

In a statement, the Egyptian investigation committee said it had identified several main locations of the wreckage of the Airbus A320.

Earlier this month, search teams said signals from one of the ‘black box’ flight recorders had been detected. According to experts, the signals are expected to expire by June 24, making it much more difficult to locate.

The investigation committee confirmed earlier this week that radar images showed the plane made sudden swerves and spun 360 degrees before crashing.

Officials initially feared a terror attack was to blame but no group has come forward to claim responsibility.

A technical fault has also not been ruled out after automated messages indicated smoke in the cabin and a problem in the flight control unit.
