WTTC announces Global Summit speaker line-up
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) released its lineup of speakers for the upcoming 23rd Global Summit in Kigali, Rwanda.
It includes Ivorian football legend Didier Drogba.
WTTC has three heads of state taking to the stage as well as a Vice-President.
Other keynote speakers include Justin Urquhart-Stewart, global economist; David P. Pekoske, Administrator of the US Transport Security Administration and Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal Football Club.
Other notable speakers include Francis Gatare, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board, and Yvonne Makolo, CEO of Rwandair and Chair of the Board of Governors of IATA.
She is the first woman to hold this role.
The summit’s theme ‘Building Bridges to a Sustainable Future’ focuses on the impact on the planet and global communities.
Speakers from WTTC include Arnold Donald, WTTC Chair; Greg O’Hara, Managing Partner Certares; Gloria Fluxa, Chief Sustainability Officer, Iberostar and more.
Julia Simpson, WTTC President & CEO, said: “We are delighted to host such influential figures in Kigali next week.”
It is the first tourism summit held in Africa.
During the summit, industry leaders will address the challenges for a more resilientand sustainable tourism sector.
