WTTC to present latest Economic Impact Report findings
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will be launching its Economic Impact Report (EIR) this April.
It gives data driven insights to the economic and employment impact of travel and tourism in the US and globally.
The report collates data on 82 cities around the world.
At an event in New York City, WTTC CEO Julia Simpson will present the report findings on April 4.
The report will offer insights such as the current projections for the growth of the tourism sector in the US. This comprises:
Travel & Tourism Relative Contribution to GDP
Travel & Tourism Total Contribution to Employment
Domestic Visitor Spending
International Visitor Spending
Travel & Tourism Investment
Travel & Tourism Forecast Growth (2024 –2034)
WTTC will also discuss what the US Government and sector should be doing going forward to ensure jobs and continue boosting the economy
It will provide telling insights into the top destinations. Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Russia and South Africa are all projected to see tourism growth.
The presentation also explores consumer trends related to sustainability, pricing, vacation types and more.
