Young Stars shine at EEAA
The Young Stars Programme of the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) saw more than 50 under-35s attending the launch at Luna Park, Sydney.
The kick-off event combined a thought leadership component on the topic of Managing Your Personal Brand, followed by a workshop about the development of the programme.
EEAA general manager Joyce DiMascio said, "The ideas workshop was inspirational and demonstrated the power of gathering bright young people in one room focused on a subject of shared interest."
The next step in the development of the EEAA Young Stars Programme will be the creation of a working group as well as an on-line community to flesh out ideas and set priorities.
The project is being supported by a number of industry leaders including Jo-Anne Kelleway, CEO of the Info Salons Group.
She urged the group to get involved in their association and play a role in defining its future.
"The EEAA can use some of these great ideas from our younger members in helping to shape the association and keep it relevant," Kelleway said.
