Zipair taps Starlink to elevate in-flight Wi-Fi
Japan based ZIPAIR will become the first Asia airline customer for SpaceX Starlink in-flight Wi-Fi.
SpaceX is now undertaking the installation review and regulatory approval process for ZIPAIR’s fleet.
The Starlink connection operates on a network of low-Earth orbit satellites.
With low-latency connections, ZIPAIR passengers can look forward to download speeds of up to 350 Mbps, Starlink says.
Zipair Tokyo Inc is a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, operating flights within Asia and to the US west coast.
