10 million visitors claimed by travelsupermarket.com
Price comparison website www.travelsupermarket.com has received its 10 millionth visitor to the site since being established two years ago.
The website, due to launch its first major advertising campaign in March, has seen record users in January with visitor estimates expected to reach 2.5 million.
Director Chris Nixon said: “The amount of visitors we have had to the site in just two years proves how useful it is and how quickly word is spreading.
“The fact that we are seeing such a massive growth is due to the fact that we deliver both the facility to search for prices from the widest range of providers and provide prices which are in real time and accurate.
“In addition, we’ve got a number of exciting developments planned for the remainder of this year and hope that the growth of the internet market continues – there are certainly some very exciting times ahead.”
Travelsupermarket.com was set up in 2004 and is part of the Moneysupermarket.com Group launched eight years ago by entrepreneur Simon Nixon.
