15,000 Aussie rugby fans off to France!
Australia’s Maison de la France GM in Australia Patrick Benhamou says that a four year campaign by his office has resulted in 15,000 rugby fans travelling to France for the Rugby World Cup, with 25,000 Aussies travelling from London to cheer on the Qantas Wallabys.
With Rugby World Cup 2007 starting this weekend in France, Benhamou saidm that he and his team have been working hard promoting France as a holiday destination to Australian rugby fans and as one upmarket retailer in Sydney’s Mosman said, it feels like the whole of Mosman is off to Rugby World Cup and the girls are going too, because its Paris!Benhamou also said that if the Wallabys are successful that will affect how much he will be able to capitalise on RWC for marketing France.
