Abacus adds attractions, events to ContentPlus platform
Abacus connected travel agents will soon be able to offer customers a much wider range of tours, attraction, activities and live entertainment in the new Abacus ContentPlus platform.
The GDS has signed an agreement to integrate some 8.000 City Discovery products which will go live in Asia Pacific next month.
Agents can book and receive instant confirmation for sports events and concerts and multiple attractions.
Private or group tours in more than 700 destinations are also available and can be bundled with city passes.
"We are adding a new dimension to the services offered by this region’s travel agents, with products that deliver on the promise of experiential travel," said Martin Symes, Abacus’ chief marketing officer.
"This is about value too. While Abacus agents benefit from the incremental revenue, travellers will enjoy City Discovery’s consistent low price guarantee."
Abacus ContentPlus is still currently in beta testing and once it is launched will be free as one of the 60 downloadable apps for Abacus WorkSpace.
