Abacus, Emirates in suite deal

Saturday, 08 Nov, 2012 0

Abacus International has implemented the Abacus Groups suite of solutions with Emirates.

Abacus Groups, the first Group Management Solution adopted by Emirates in Asia, is designed to help airlines enhance the administration of day-to-day group booking activities and maintain control over the booking process.

It is customised for Asian workflows.

"Asia still has a high propensity to travel in groups due to the non-homogeneous markets and local languages," said Ho Hoong Mau, division head of airline distribution, Abacus International

Emirates will leverage the Abacus Group solution in South Korea and Malaysia initially.

The signing is the latest in a number of Abacus Groups implementations in the Middle East. Etihad Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Gulf Air are also utilising the Abacus suite of solutions which include Abacus GroupRequest and Abacus GroupClaim.

Separately, Abacus International has signed a new multi-year partnership with Vietnam Airlines which will see on-going collaboration through joint marketing in key markets and the utilisation of Abacus products and services across the Asia Pacific, including markets such as Korea and China.
