ABTA sells TTC Training
ABTA has announced it has sold TTC Training Limited to NTP Limited.
In a statement, ABTA said TTC Training will continue to operate under its current management, led by Barry Butler as Managing Director, as a subsidiary company within the new group. It will join other training, consultancy and information systems subsidiaries in delivering workforce development services to NTP’s customers.
ABTA said its Board of Directors agreed to the sale, which values TTC at £5 million, in order to help secure the future profitable growth of TTC Training.
Following the acquisition of Career Dynamics in 1999, TTC Training has developed its offerings to retail, finance, call centres, logistics, property and other service sectors.
ABTA said it is likely that future growth will come from sectors outside travel.
Commenting on the sales, Ian Reynolds, Chief Executive of ABTA said: “The Boards of both ABTA and TTC Training judged it to be in the best interests of customers, employees and ABTA members to support the approach we received from NTP.
ABTA has granted a licence to NTP for the provision of ABTA programmes to the travel industry. Ken Gaylard and Ian Reynolds will continue as directors of TTC Training.
