AC Group restructures contracting and purchasing team
Wholesale tour operator AC Group has restructured its team to allow for future rapid growth.
Stuart Gamm, formerly head of contracting for UK & Ireland, has been promoted to director of purchasing to lead a newly-formed purchasing department.
The department brings together the contracting and placing teams to support AC Group’s travel suppliers.
The company has appointed regional heads, with Cecile Gomes promoted to regional head of contracting for France, Benelux, Spain and Portugal, and Lee Florence promoted to regional head of contracting, USA.
Alice Hye has been promoted to senior services contracts manager.
For the US, Florence will lead the FIT contracting expansion whilst Thomas Marcial, alongside Maia Dimitrova, will focus on developing the company’s group tours business into the States.
"We have rewarded our hardworking team for their outstanding contributions to the rapid growth and success of their regions to date and now they are tasked with taking their respective divisions on to the next level," said Rob Russell, joint CEO AC Group.
"We are undergoing phenomenal growth and the addition of another floor at Millbank Tower visually demonstrates how we’re going from strength to strength."
The group is recruiting across its divisions, including contracting, customer service and tour coordination, both locally in UK and for the EU and US offices.
"We have taken the decision to strengthen the buying team in preparation for a bumper year and increased demand from all markets," said Malcolm Lindop, joint CEO.
"By bringing the teams into a single unit we can provide a more seamless and efficient service that we can scale quicker."
