Accor bringing Fairmont hotel brand to Seoul
French hospitality giant AccorHotels has signed a management agreement for a new Fairmont hotel which will rise in the South Korean capital Seoul.
The Richard Rogers designed property will have 326 rooms, a rooftop terrace, spa, fitness centre, pool, conference hall and several restaurants.
Fairmont Ambassador Seoul is slated to open within three years.
It forms part of an integrated commercial development by Parc 1, which comprises a shopping mall and office towers in Seoul’s Yeouido financial district.
"AccorHotels has 30 years of experience in managing hotels in South Korea. We are very excited to announce this partnership where we can leverage on our expertise in hotel management to set a luxury footprint to introduce the Fairmont brand into the market," said Patrick Basset, COO, AccorHotels Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia.
Accor is significantly expanding its footprint in the Seoul market with the soon to open Seoul Dragon City development.
This major urban lifestyle development will feature four Accor brand hotels – a Novotel, Ibis Styles, Grand Mercure and Novotel Suites.
