Accor extends Mercure brand across UK

Accor has boosted its UK network by 10 properties after signing a franchise deal with Focus Hotels.
The hotel operator inked the deal as part of its plans to add 300 properties to its UK portfolio by 2015.
Accor will drop the rooms into its Mercure brand, meaning it wil now have 43 Mercure hotels around the country.
Chief operating officer Accor UK and Ireland Jean-Jacques Dessors said: “We have ambitious plans for the UK and we are totally committed to extending our Accor network and bringing our expertise in all segments from economy, midscale, upscale and luxury to the UK market.”
The new hotels are:

Mercure Altrincham Bowden Hotel
Mercure Blackburn Ribble Valley Hotel
Mercure Chester North Hotel
Mercure Hatfield Oak Hotel
Mercure Hull Royal Hotel
Mercure Stafford South Penkridge Hotel
Mercure Swindon East Hotel & Spa
Mercure Telford Hotel
Mercure Wigan Oak Hotel
Mercure Wolverhampton Hotel
