ACTE/KDS poll finds surge in companies embracing CSR
The number of travellers and companies embracing environmental awareness has more than doubled in the last two years, according to the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE).
In a joint ACTE/KDS industry-wide survey, 59% of travellers said they worked for companies that now have a Corporate Social Responsibility charter.
In addition, 59% of these travellers now looks to these charters to make environmentally sound travel decisions.
“This is a major industry shift that goes beyond a trend or a public relations campaign”, said ACTE’s executive director Susan Gurley.
“It is the beginning of behavioral change that clearly indicates companies and their travellers support Corporate Social Responsibility because it is the right thing to do.
“CSR has quickly become a fundamental in the business travel process.”
ACTE/KDS surveyed 263 companies from Africa, Asia Canada, Continental Europe, Eastern and Central Europe, Ireland, the Middle East, Northern Europe, South America, the UK, and the US.
