Advantage appoints non-exec directors
Tim Brookes-Parry of Apex Travel and Christian Gleave of Review Travel have been elected as non-executive directors.
Each will serve two years on the Advantage Travel Centres Board.
Following a recent election by members, Jimmy Martin of Jimmy Martin Travel has also been re-elected to the board.
Tim Brookes-Parry and Jimmy Martin were elected to represent members whose annual leisure travel turnover is less than £5 million.
Christian Gleave was elected to represent all members irrespective of minimum or maximum turnover or business genre.
"I have been overwhelmed by the level of interest shown by the membership in becoming board directors, having eleven candidates competing for three positions is extremely heartening," said Julia Lo Bue-Said, managing director of Advantage Travel Centres.
"I am convinced this signals a clear intention that members wish to be more involved in the governance of the organisation.
"We also saw an increase in the number of votes cast by members during the election campaign which demonstrates an improved member commitment to Advantage overall."
