Advantage rolls out upgraded booking system
Advantage Travel Centres is rolling out an upgraded version of its SABS booking
technology to members.
It claims the system, developed by Micros-Travel, will give agents improved
access to suppliers and new dynamic packaging opportunities.
Agents using the new Advantage-branded SABS2 set up will be able to search
and compare products from across the travel spectrum, including package
prices, charter, budget, consolidated and scheduled air fares,
accommodation-only, ski, car hire and taxis.
The system also contains online brochure content from preferred operators,
along with both destination and resort videos which agents can show to
customers when making a sale.
Advantage sales and marketing director Colin O'Neill said: "Agents can provide
customers with a genuine choice of holiday from a full range of operators.
“At the same time the system allows them to see if they can dynamically
package the component parts and offer even greater value for clients.â€
Advantage said that unlike systems offered by other consortia, SABS2 allows
individual agents to add content from operators they have a strong working
relationship with.
The web-based technology does not require installation of any complicated
software and can be accessed from any PC, so agents can access the booking
system while visiting clients in their workplace or at home.
