AE Expeditions launches sold-out inaugural Mediterranean season
AE Expeditions has launched its first small ship season, with all four voyages to the Mediterranean selling out well in advance of departure.
It is a key step in the Australia based company’s expansion to new destinations beyond the polar regions.
Sailing aboard the Sylvia Earle, passengers are exploring the Mediterranean on itineraries taking in excursions to Marrakech, Rome, the hill towns of Andalusia and more.
“This season shows there’s demand for small-group travel that goes beyond the usual routes,” said Michael Heath, CEO of AE Expeditions.
“We’re bringing our expedition style to new places and giving people a deeper way to explore.”
The season will expand significantly in 2026.
The Douglas Mawson will operate 14 voyages in the Mediterranean, while the Greg Mortimer will offer five more in Europe and three in Oceania.
AE Expeditions’ expanded 2026 global offering also includes travel to more destinations, with new small-ship voyages along the Rhine, Main, and Danube Rivers.
There will also be itineraries to Ireland and Scotland.
