Aer Lingus increases New York flight capacity from Manchester
Aer Lingus has boosted capacity on its daily Manchester to New York flights.
The route is now flown by an Airbus A330 for the first time, increasing available seats by 72% over the summer.
The move comes just over a year after the airline began its very first direct transatlantic flights to New York from Manchester.
The route was originally served by a single-aisle Airbus A321LR.
The change enables Aer Lingus to deploy the A321LR aircraft on its transatlantic routes from Dublin, including to Hartford CT, which launched last month.
The A321LR will also be used on the Dublin to Cleveland route, which takes off in May.
Customers can choose from 270,000 seats on sale from Manchester to the US, with Aer Lingus’ biggest summer schedule yet.
This summer, Aer Lingus will fly daily and direct New York flights from Manchester as well as to Orlando.
Seasonal winter services to Barbados restart in November.
The three transatlantic flights from Manchester complement up to six daily Dublin flights, offering more options with onward connections to 13 transatlantic routes.
