Aer Lingus to offer one-stop flights to America from Southampton

Friday, 28 Nov, 2014 0

Flybe has signed a codeshare agreement with Aer Lingus to offer one-stop flights from Southampton Airport to North America, operating via Dublin.

Flybe regional general manager UK (south) Paul Willoughby said the service gave US-bound passengers an alternative to travelling via the busier airports in the southeast.

The new agreement means that passengers can travel with Flybe from Southampton to Dublin, where they can connect on to Aer Lingus flights to a range of destinations in North America including Boston, New York, San Francisco and Toronto.

As Dublin provides US Customs pre-clearance, passengers arriving in the States will be able to by-pass the often lengthy US immigration queues.
