Aer Lingus welcomes two millionth transatlantic customer this year
Flag carrier Aer Lingus has celebrated its two millionth transatlantic passenger in 2023.
Co. Donegal customer, Natasha Doherty was the landmark passenger on a Dublin to Orlando flight.
“This is a significant milestone for Aer Lingus, following our largest ever transatlantic schedule this summer,” said Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer.
In the past decade Aer Lingus has grown its transatlantic flight network from six routes to 19.
It also now flies from Manchester to North America.
This summer Aer Lingus put over 2.25 million seats to North America on sale across routes from Manchester, Dublin and Shannon.
It includes new transatlantic flights to Cleveland, Ohio which were added in May.
Later this month it restarts flights to Miami from Dublin and Barbados direct from Manchester on 1 November.
In 2024, the airline adds direct services to Denver and Minneapolis-St. Paul.
