Agents to feel the chill of Alaska cuts
Alaska Airlines will drop base commissions paid on tickets for point of sale in Australia from 3% to 1%, effective January 1, 2013.
All bookings sold and ticketed on or after January 1 will be affected by the commission change.
Any existing bookings must be issued prior to this date to claim existing commission.
The airline said no exceptions would be permitted and ADMs will be raised if incorrect commission is claimed on or after January 1, 2013.
