Aggie Grey’s lands in Tahiti
South Pacific hotel Aggie Grey’s will soon call Tahiti home as the new owner of the Le Meridien Tahiti.
As the hotel where author James Michener began writing his Pulitzer-prize winning Tales of the South Pacific, Aggie Grey’s Samoa has long been a name synonymous with the Pacific region.
Tahiti Tourisme Australia director Robert Thompson said the Aggie Grey’s name would help lure visitors to French Polynesia as it has been doing for nearly 70 years in Samoa.
The move to Tahiti will be the first outside of Samoa for Aggie Grey’s with Le Meridien Tahiti soon to be known as Aggie Grey’s Le Meridien Tahiti.
The hotel will remain under Starwood management.
