Air Canada resuming India flights
Air Canada said it will restart its daily Toronto – Delhi service from October 1, 2019.
To start off, flights will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliners, and will then be upgraded with more seat capacity from October 27 with 400-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the route.
It offers a three-class service including Premium Economy.
Air Canada’s seasonal Toronto – Mumbai service also begins on October 27 through March 28, 2020 on Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
The resumption of flights comes days after Pakistan reopened its airspace after a closure of more than four months.
That came after cross border hostilities with India following a terrorist attack and subsequent air strike in retaliation.
"We are very pleased to resume our daily, non-stop Toronto – Delhi flights in time for Diwali celebrations, and with additional capacity going forward to meet expected demand," said Mark Galardo , VP of Network Planning at Air Canada.
The airline will have up to 18 weekly flights connecting the two countries
