Air Canada’s Budapest flights resume next summer
Air Canada is bringing back its direct transatlantic flight connecting Budapest with Toronto next summer.
The route resumes in June 2026 on 298-seater 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, offering passengers a choice of three travel classes.
The Budapest-Toronto route will connect the Hungarian capital with Canada’s largest city four times a week during the summer season.
Following several months of preparatory work and discussions with the airline, it will resume with flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from the Hungarian capita.
Passengers have a choice of Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
The seasonal service will run from 6 June through 24 October 2026.
It represents almost 50,000 seats between the two cities during the summer season while the Toronto, Pearson hub opens up other regions of the Americas with connecting Air Canada flights.
“This transatlantic flight is an important outcome of Visit Hungary’s overseas marketing activities, which played a significant role in establishing demand for the connection. The direct Budapest-Toronto route could further boost inbound leisure travel and MICE tourism in Budapest, from our third-highest spending market,” said Olivér Csendes, CEO of Visit Hungary.
