Air cargo firm claims lost property passenger planes
An air cargo firm has claimed ownership of three Boeing 747s left at Kuala Lumpur airport for more than a year.
Airport operator, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, put an ad in the Malaysian Star newspaper giving the unknown owner of three Boeing 747-200F aircraft 14 days to collect the planes.
"If you fail to collect the aircraft within 14 days of the date of this notice, we reserve the right to sell or otherwise dispose of the aircraft," the notice said.
However Swift Air Cargo, a Malaysian firm, says it has been trying to retrieve the aircraft for months – but authorities dispute its paperwork.
The cargo company said it had been meeting with the airport operator on a ‘consistent basis’.
