Air China makes big Airbus jet order
Air China has inked a deal to purchase 60 Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The deal is worth nearly $10 billion based on list prices.
The airline said in a filing that scheduled delivery of the jets to Air China and a subsidiary will begin from 2028 to 2032.
It follows other major recent orders for Airbus jets for China carriers Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines.
China Aircraft Leasing Group also agreed to purchase 30 A320neo aircraft.
Air China says the new narrowbody aircraft will fuel its fleet renewal program and aid capacity growth over the next few years.
Air China’s currently has a mixed fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
