Air China starting Sri Lanka flights next month
Air China announced it will start nonstop flights from Chengdu to the Sri Lankan capital Colombo in February.
Operated by Airbus 330 aircraft, four flights a week will run on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from February 10.
The airline has also announced a series of perks for premium passengers on the route.
First and business class passengers flying to Chengdu will receive a free chauffeured transfer between the airport and downtown Chengdu.
Passengers with onward international connections at Chengdu are entitled to free stay in a five-star hotel for long layovers.
China is Sri Lanka’s largest inbound market in East Asia, according to 2013 full year tourism data.
