Air France prepares for more strikes

Thursday, 27 Mar, 2018 0

Air France is warning of cancellations and delays on Friday due to planned strike action by several of its staff unions.

Anyone with a valid Air France ticket, issued on or before 26 March, for a flight operated by Air France or Joon on March 30 can bring forward the trip, at no charge, to March 27-29 or postpone it to between March 31 and April 5 2018.

They can also postpone their flight to sometime after April 5, change their country of destination or origin or cancel their trip.

In these cases, Air France will provide customers with a non-refundable voucher valid for one year for use with Air France, KLM or HOP! flights.

Air France said flights operated by an aircraft other than that of Air France or Joon will not be affected.

“As soon as we have a more accurate estimate of the number of employees on strike and the impact on our operations, our flight schedule will be changed accordingly and made public the day before your departure,” said the airline.

“Some flights may be cancelled. Furthermore, in order to ensure the maximum number of flights with our reduced crew, we may have to limit the number of passengers on board some of our flights, meaning that we will not be able to honour all bookings.”
