Air India announces codeshare pact with Fiji Airways
Air India has formed a codeshare partnership with Fiji Airways to offer customers more seamless journeys to the South Pacific.
The codeshare pact kicks off on August 1, allowing passengers of the two airlines to connect to and from Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai to Fiji via Hong Kong or Singapore.
Fiji Airways’ FJ flight code will be placed on Air India-operated flights from the three Indian cities to Hong Kong and Singapore.
Air India’s code will then be placed on the connecting flights out of Hong Kong or Singapore operated to Nadi by Fiji Airways.
The arrangement includes one-time check-in, through ticketing and baggage transfer.
"We’re delighted to add Air India to our growing list of international airline partners. With our direct services from Hong Kong and Singapore to Nadi, Indian visitors can travel to Fiji from three cities. Equally, our guests from Fiji and the South Pacific will have many more options to connect to Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai for leisure, business and medical travel," said Andre Viljoen, Fiji Airways managing director.
