Air Niugini rolls out UnionPay online payments
Flag carrier Air Niugini has recently launched UnionPay online payment adoption.
This enables UnionPay cardholders to book and pay for flight tickets and other services directly using UnionPay’s digital payment solution.
UnionPay has been accepted at Air Niugini’s offline ticketing offices which now extends to payments via the airline’s official website and app.
Air Niugini operates international flights to and from Papua New Guinea to Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong China, and the Solomon Islands.
Including domestic services, it operates 19 routes on a fleet of 22 aircraft.
UnionPay online acceptance addresses the growing demand for secure and convenient online payment solutions for international visitors.
UnionPay services are now widely accepted across PNG.
Around 90% of ATMs and point-of-sale terminals in the country support UnionPay, covering sectors such as hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, and tourism.
