Air NZ offering free Wi-Fi
Air New Zealand is offering a summer of free Wi-Fi access on all internet-enabled flights.
The free Wi-Fi perk will be available through February 28 on nine of its Boeing 777 aircraft which serve trans-Tasman routes and to the US and London.
"We’ve had great customer interest in our inflight Wi-Fi product since we first started rolling it out on our international jet fleet in October last year. Offering free Wi-Fi over the summer period is a great way for our customers to be able to stay connected with friends and family," said Air NZ chief revenue officer Cam Wallace.
The airline normally charges NZ$30 for standard Wi-Fi access for flights to Australia and the Pacific Islands and $40 for flights to North America, Europe and Asia.
A one-hour Wi-Fi pass at NZ$9 is also available on long haul flights.
The airline is continuing to roll out Wi-Fi across its international network.
