Air taxi crashes killing all passengers
An air taxi has crashed in Alaska killing all 10 people aboard, officials say.
The accident happened yesterday at the Soldotna airport, south of Anchorage, in the US, as the plane took off.
The fixed-wing aircraft was engulfed in flames before firefighters could reach it, a local official was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
The plane was operated by local company, Rediske Air, which provides sightseeing charters and ‘air taxi’ services.
The NTSB says the plane involved was a de Havilland Otter Air Taxi.
