Airbnb rolls out ‘Business Travel Ready’ search tool

Thursday, 01 May, 2017 0

Home sharing marketplace Airbnb has launched a new search tool aimed purely at business travelers.

Travelers can search via the ‘Business Travel Ready’ function which filters listings based on business friendly amenities.

These include Wi-Fi, a dedicated work space, self check-in and free toiletries, use of an iron, and other features road warriors come to expect while on the road.

Airbnb say it already has more than 150,000 business travel ready listings globally, and the new search function aims to save time, something in short supply for busy road warriors.

"Business travelers come to Airbnb already knowing where they want to stay, and with less lead time. They want speed, convenience and reliability. With our new feature – on desktop and mobile – business travelers can filter search results to only show business travel ready listings. This makes it easier and faster to find and book the perfect Airbnb for a work trip," the company said.

Business travelers first need to link their work email to their Airbnb account to use the tool.

Airbnb says the number of business trips on Airbnb tripled in 2016 and business travel accounts for 10% of all bookings.
