Airline shares fall back

There were mainly small, downward movements for travel and tourism shares yesterday as London’s equity markets stalled.

The FTSE 100 index added just 4.2 points to end the day at 5057.4, while the FTSE 250 managed to gain only 1.1 points and finished at 7301.1.

Airline shares moved back, almost in unison: BA dropped 1.25p to 277.75p, EasyJet fell 2.5p to 232.75p and Ryanair lost 435.75p to close at 3.375p.
