Airline shares find going tough
Travel and tourism shares endured yet another tough session yesterday as London’s equity markets went into reverse.
The FTSE 100 index lost 62.2 points to end the day at 4937.6, while the FTSE 20 had a similar day, dropping 58.9 points to close at 7202.4.
Falls for industry stocks were not dramatic. However, Ryanair dropped 9p to close at 405.75p and British Airways lost 5.75p to finish at 266.5p.
