Airport packages a holiday trend
A trend emerging this holiday season: some travelers are looking to packaging sites that combine hotels and airport parking sites to reduce air travel stress.
"Assuming you’re away for the better part of a week, it can cost about the same for the hotel the night before with free parking than what the airport charges for parking alone," said Jack Lambert, managing partner of ParkSleepFly.com., Inc.
Lambert says one major advantage of such services is to avoid crack-of-dawn flights. He says fliers can choose an inexpensive package online that combines a night-before stay at an airport hotel that includes free parking and convenient shuttle service to the airport.
With these services, travelers can do a quick search by airport and book flexible packages that might include one night’s stay, free parking for up to weeks and a free shuttle.
Hotel rates that include free parking can be as low as $25-35.
ParkSleepFly.com offers travelers deals on overnight stays at over 1,500 hotels located close to more than 120 airports throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe – along with free parking for 7-14 days or more plus complimentary shuttle service to and from the terminal.
