AITO operator takes Comtec’s Travelink
Specialist tour operator The Worldwide Group plans to implement Comtec’s Travelink tour operator sales and management system.
The operator, which is a member of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO), has a number of brands including Wildlife Worldwide, Dive Worldwide, Equine Adventures, and Families Worldwide.
Comtec Travelink will enable the company to automate existing manual booking and administration processes.
The system will also enable the operator to introduce online quotation and bookings via the company’s websites.
The technology will also make marketing easier because of the integrated customer relationship management tools.
Travelink’s new shopping-basket based sales system will enable The Worldwide Group’s consultants to create tailor-made travel packages through seamless searching, costing and booking a range of airfares as well as accommodation from own negotiated contracts and third-party suppliers.
According to Comtec’s head of sales Vicki Tittley Travelink is now used by more than 75, mostly niche and specialist, operators.
